Got a voice message from this number stating it is Julie Smith from IRS. Stating that I should call back before they thay any against me.
I got a call from (202) 241-0104. They said it is from IRS and i need to reply them back....
I also received a message saying they were from the IRS and i should return the call before further action is taken. Needless to say i did not call.
If they ever call me i just like to confuse their minds and mess with them and Rakesh they are trying to scam you for money. They will say to you that you will get arrested and stuff don't believe that nothing will happen to you. If anyone gets a call from these people ignore or mess with them! They are mostly from India and i think Pakistan there are scammers in South Africa and Nigeria too.
I have been getting numerous calls from this, and when I blocked them, other similar numbers for about a week and a half now. They leave a message, that is clearly computerized, but it is halfway through it, before the voicemail pick-ups and starts recording. Now that is a high quality scam right there... The part it does record says, "...nue service, and the hot line to my division is, 202-241-0104, I repeat it's (same) Don't disregard this message, and do return the call, before we take any action against you. Goodbye and take care." The IRS doesn't CALL you, to tell you you're in trouble. They do things official like, so everything is done through the mail. Plus, they don't tell you to take care. They're pretty much up front with the fact that they're going to screw you, and you aren't going to like it. So this fraudulent call is trying just a bit too hard, and I guess counts on the fact that people are going to be ignorant of how the IRS does things. DON'T FALL FOR IT! If you don't believe me, and other people on here. Call the IRS direct, and tell them you received a call from someone claiming to be them, and are they trying to reach you. Even if they are, it isn't this way. Call the ACTUAL IRS and ask if that is a number they call from. (It isn't)
I received this same message on my recorder. I'm with the others, they can contact me by official USPS.
got same msg from julie smith, it is a scam they want personal info like name, ssn, first call back i made and refused to give my name she call me a [***] and hung up (even IRS people wouldn't do that) second time I called back from another number and i gave him a fake name and then he asked for my tax id /ssn told him i know this is a scam and he said oh then i will have to disconnect this call. I'm going to keep calling back and play with them. lol
