This is because, most likely, the number displayed is SPOOFED, meaning its a FAKE NUMBER (and name) generated by a computer to HIDE the real number. This is a favorite tactic of SCAMMERS and SPAMMERS.
I received this call with no respond just a call no one is talking sick people who know why?
Another day, another spam call. I'd like to pick up and hang up w/o answering but my spouse won't let me 'in case its something important.' Like two days ago when our police department issued a snowstorm warning from a number that was 'long distance' and I didn't recognize.This call left no message on ans. machine.
I agree not answering helps to 'cut down' on the number/frequency of calls, but they STILL DO NOT *STOP*. We have to PUT PRESSURE on our SCUMBAG POLITICIANS to MAKE THIS A PRIORITY or these CRIMINALS will continue to be ALLOWED - and they *ARE* being ALLOWED to do this - to keep 'hassling' us in order to keep us 'so busy' that WE DON"T NOTICE HOW THE RICH AND POWERFUL ARE GUTTING THIS COUNTRY OF ITS RESOURCES and STEALING OUR RIGHTS right out from UNDER OUR NOSES."Right to Work" BILLS??? (Should be TAKE-AWAY-YOUR-RIGHT-TO COLLECTIVE BARGAIN Bill) WAKE UP PEOPLE!
