I received a call from 202-455-8888 but didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. The voice mail gave me a code, but I had no idea what to do with the code. Reading through other people's posts, I can see that it's a scam, and I think they were trying to hijack my phone number.
I first got a text from this number, asking if I still wanted to work moving and cleaning. I didn't respond. Next I got a text saying "there is going a call on your phone. Receive call and press 15 and record voice with name and desired rate. Thanks " After that I kept getting the same call over and over again. I finally had to block the number. It would not stop. Very annoying.
Its not always a 2 digit number. It depends on what you are trying to do. I was at work trying to get into my email it gave me several options to verify. I asked for the phone call and it gave me a 6 digit number.And for those others reading if you are not trying to verify your goggle and you get a call from this number, i would check my bank account and credit just in case someone has also gotten a hold to other vital info.
