I got rid of my house phone as well! I got the same message from a woman, needing people to help in the hiring and training department, they work for some investment company, and are on the NYSE. I read these threads and called them back to cancel my 11 o'clock appt. with them. I really want to know how they got my number. I don't have my cell number on any resume. I don't get it, is AT&T giving out my number? Is it my college? I really want to know.

They get your numbers now because the cell phone company's mad it public. You have to call your cell phone company to unlist it.

Probaly a sting to collect past debts

I received a cell phone message from a Sue Pallard from 203-651-0018 ex 15. She did not say my name or the company name, which I found odd. She said she was referred to me and said she was looking to expand and was wondering if I'd like to make a career change or work part time in Connecticut. This whole message was strange since I have not been looking for jobs (and certainly not one in the insurance or finance business as this website suggests the company is). I was not going to call her back anyway, but I was curious and looked up the number online and found this website.

Sue Pollard wanted to know if I was looking for employment and to call her back at203-651-0019...ext 24. She called on June 26. Of courses I didn't call back. She did not state the nameOf the company...red flag...so I googled it andHappy to learn the information.

I received this same call, from Steve Markovic, left me a voice mail... same exact thing as reported above. Don't know the first thing about it.

I just got a call from him today....he wouldn't explain exactly what the job was. I asked if it were Primerica or Citigroup and he just said to come in and we'd talk about it. I tried finding out more information and he said 'ha for someone who is out of work, and looking for a job, you don't seem to care much about interviewing'. Then he said 'never mind, I don't think I want you working for me anyway....If it's what I think it is, it's basically a pyramid type thing or wanting you to branch out and start your own business..Glad I check this out....I thought I might have blown something good...damn he was fresh. Probably working on a commission.

Funny...Jane Pisani has been calling me for weeks, but she claims to be from a totally different company. Cheshire Training Center or Facility...I got rid of her awhile ago and now this guy is calling...She also called my private cell phone number.Maybe we should notify the Attorney General in CT.

Yes these callers always say 'you were referred to me by someone-a friend- or whoever. I think I wall call the Attorney General's Office.And you're correct. I live 10 minutes away from where they say they are located. Also if you are on Careerbuilder or any of those sites and have your resume posted they may get your number or cell number that way...That's what I'm thinking is going on...

First off, the guy Steve didnt even remember that he called me this morning. I had to say my name 2X before he started talking to me. Then he proceeded to tell me that he makes almost 200,000 a year but is working towards 500,000 a year. Right then and there i knew this was B.S.When i asked him where he was calling from because he had yet to say the company he worked for, his response was "Cheshire." So ive now been on the line with this clown for a few minutes and i dont even know what company he works for........who calls someone for an interview and doesnt even say what company they are from?? Very sketchy, he told me to come to a corporate seminar tomorrow @ 7:30 but after reading all this i certainly will be watching the Yankee game instead with a beer :)
