It's not a scam, they just have [***] business practices. You're on an automated calling list because you owe money for a parking or speeding ticket. They constantly call because they're a collections agency associated with Manitoba justice. If you go to the legitimate Manitoba government site and look up fines, scroll through to FAQ, it says if your ticket has gone to collections call a different #... This number is also CBV Collections.
The have called me 4 times today and if I say "Hello" they hang up. Maybe they are looking for "Hello my name is ___"? Perhaps if I give them my name they can fake that they know me and pretend I owe them money?
If you answer the call you will in fact get CBV collections it’s for outstanding tickets from photo radars or tickets given by a price officer it isn’t fraud. It’s real life. So if you live in Winnipeg visit 320 graham ave downtown and they will provide you with your ticket information as I did that and VOILA!!!!!! They have your ticket information. Other number is 2049440844 other number is 18447692521 they are super annoying just pay your fines and the calls will stop easy as that!!
Yes same as everybody above....I even called them back and told them they have no reason to call and confirmed with them that I was not the person and it was a wrong number. lo and behold I got another 3 calls that same day. What the "F" I mean how do you get rid of these stupids. I cannot block them I have tried and they get through.
Just got this under fake name and on the second day it started calling me. I have not given my number to anyone yet. When I answer they hang up.
So annoying .. call me several times aDay..I do have an outstanding ticket on Manitoba but I answer they hang up every time!! I get several calls a day and every time it’s no message just typing or a hang up .. annoyed
