received call on my cell, answered it and pressed 9 to speak to person (was about credit card debt) to take my number off the call list, when I told them this they hung up.
I answered and asked who am I talking too and the guy refused to tell me the name of the company and then he said he knows why I'm asking for the name of the company and called me scumbag.
Very unlikely that the person you've identified is making the calls. Scammers "spoof" legitimate numbers , which means they show legitimate numbers but are calling from different numbers. I've traced many scammer numbers and found legitimate people and businesses who were upset about their numbers being used by crooks. It's happened to me several times. Once, a scammer used my landline number to call my cell number. The actual scammers (the people you talk to) don't control the numbers they call. It's all done by robo-callers (random-number generaters). Radio Shack used to sell a gizmo that "spoofed" numbers and made it possible to show a fake number on Caller ID.

just got a call from 888-431-7820. Told me I was breach of contract. Very hard to understand the lady. I dont have a contract with anyone that I know of. When I look to see the number call it tells me Claim Services.

they're trying to get personal and fin info under the pretense of finalizing a loan. they leave (866) 398-2896 as a callback number but actual caller id is spoofed to a different number each time.
