This 205-440-1003 number is listed as a VoIP, meaning it is an internet phone similar to Vonage. The real person owning the number probably has no clue that their number has been hacked. Do Not Call is a joke. There are not enough penalties for unsolicited callers. These scammers use the internet phone to evade prosecution and detection. Do Not Call needs to be re-written to catch these evaders.
Telemarkerter called and it was a recording. Annoying calls from this number . When I tried to call the number back to ask them to refraim for calling my number again, I got a message that it was a disconnected number. Figure that>>>>>
Thanks for the info. As for DNCR I keep getting a message " number not valid" when I try to list my cell phone with them. Why is that when I use my phone everyday and pay for the use of it every month.
Annoying..They are pitching a medical alert type device that a "senior" can push a button and get emergency help. They mention no particular company in their recording. After many calls..sometimes several a day..that I hung up on, I finally listened to to whole recording and then pushed the button to speak to a person...who I told off. I'll bet it doesn't work. No call lsit doesn't seem to stop these guys. Maybe next time I'll bet a dog whistle and blow it when the sale person comes on line.
This number has been calling us for several days. Some man says"if you are a senior citizen" and I hang up. I have tried calling the number and a recording says this number is not in service! I am going to report it to the FTC and the Do Not Call Registry. Jerks likethis should be fined and their number or calling ability canceled. Wheredid they get my number in the first place? Whomever gave it should alsobe fined.
My grandson has a great idea for these jerks!!! I am going to blow a whistle as loud as I canwhen they answer at the end of their pitch!!! Won't hurt me and I hope it hurts them
