Ain't it the truth.. The do not call list is more than a joke. The telephone company(s) should be required by the FCC, FTC or whatever to have a code so the person being called could block any future calls from any number that they desire. This would eliminate these SOB telemarketers. Reckon why the government won't do something worthwhile for a change and stop this nonsense!
This unwanted solicitation received more than once. I have placed my number on the "do not call" list more than once. Sales pitch is for "medicare" eligible people. Have not stayed for the entire sales pitch. Very annoying, and along with another similar number, 849-963-4865, I wonder if some organization is selling the list of retirees.
I have received several calls from 205-440-1003 over the last several days. They wuill not leave a msg. and does not ring more than 3 times. Am reporting to the FTC.
Still getting calls from these pests. First time (2/20) I tried to return call to identify them the recording said the line was either not in use or had been disconnected. Today I got a fast busy. Must not be too important since they won't leave a message.
I called this number back and an old lady answered the phone. She told me that she didn't know who it was that called me because she lives alone.
Got a call saying something like 'this is a message from card holder services. There is no problem with your account.' Then the automated system hung up. Good to know they needed to call me to tell me there wasn't a problem.
