His name is David he called after 8:300PM and work up my parents and my daughter who is only 3 months old! How he got my parents phone number is completely invasive! I never gave him authorization to contact my family and slander me essentially by his efforts to make me look bad and call him. Anyone want to Sue this dirt bag and put him out of business? Let's get a class action going here is my email: suedavid8nsb@gmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------I am not an attorney, but I found this legal information for others who are personally disgruntled as I am:This guy breaks all the rules look:1. Ask you to pay more than you oweThe collector cannot misrepresent the amount you owe. [15 USC 1692e] § 807(2)(a)2. Ask you to pay interest, fees, or expenses that are not allowed by lawThe collector can't add on any extra fees that your original credit or loan agreement doesn't allow. [15 USC 1692f] § 808(1)3. Call repeatedly or continuouslyThe FDCPA considers repeat calls as harassment. [15 USC 1692d] § 806(5)4. Use obscene, profane, or abusive languageUsing this kind of language is considered harassment. [15 USC 1692d] § 806(2)5. Call before 8:00 am or after 9:00 pmCalls during these times are considered harassment. [15 USC 1692c] § 805(a)(1)6. Call at times the collector knew or should know are inconvenientCalls at these times are considered harassment. [15 USC 1692c] § 805(a)(1)7. Use or threaten to use violence if you don't pay the debtCollectors can't threaten violence against you. [15 USC 1692d] § 806(1)8. Threaten action they cannot or will not takeCollectors can't threaten to sue or file charges against you, garnish wages, take property, cause job loss, or ruin your credit when the collector cannot or does not intend to take the action. [15 USC 1692e] § 807(5)9. Illegally inform a third party about your alleged debtUnless you have expressly given permision, collectors are not allowed to inform anyone about your debt except: * your attorney * the creditor * the creditor's attorney * a credit reporting agency your spouse * your parent (if you are a minor)[15 USC 1692c] § 805(b)10. Repeatedly call a third party to get your location informationThe collector can only contact a third party once unless it has reason to believe the information previously provided is false. [15 USC 1692b] § 804(1)The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act requires debt collectors to follow certain laws about how they treat you, and how the attempt to collect debts. But, this does not release you from your obligation to repay your debt.Restrictions on Method of ContactA debt collector may not contact you: * At inconvenient times or places, such as before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m., unless you agree; * At work, unless your employer approves, and you agree; and * If you have an attorney, the debt collector must contact your attorney.A collector may contact third parties to try and locate you. But they can only ask for your phone number and where you work. They cannot tell others that you owe money, and in most cases, can only contact a third party one time.A Debt Collector May Not Harass YouThe Fair Debt Collection Practices Act states that a debt collector “may not harass, oppress, or abuse you or any third parties they contact.” This means a collector cannot publish your name (except to a credit bureau), repeatedly call you, use obscene or profane language, or threaten you with acts of violence or other form of harm.Debt Collectors Must Tell the TruthDebt collectors may not lie, or use any false or misleading statements when collecting a debt. Examples of what they cannot lie or mislead you about include: who they are, work for, or their position; misrepresent in any way, forms or letters sent to you; how much you owe; or that you have broken the law.Debt Collectors Cannot Make False or Empty ThreatsDebt collectors cannot make threats or use intimidation tactics to get you to pay a debt. This area gets a little tricky because it can be hard to really know if a threat of further action or litigation is a tactic, or really something the debt collector intends to do.The best thing to do if you are threatened is to tell the collector that you understand the law prohibits them from making threats, and write down everything that was said to you, including the date, time, and person who called.A collector may not tell you that they will have you arrested if you do not pay your debt. They also cannot threaten to take certain actions against, such as to taking your property, garnising your wages, or filing a lawsuit. The key words are “threaten to” because a collector may actually be able to do these things if it is legal in your state. They just cannot be deceitful about their intentions.Debt Collectors May Not Use Unfair PracticesThe Fair Debt Collection Practices Act also restricts collectors from asking for amounts you do not owe, this includes adding extra fees, unless your state law permits them to do so. And, they cannot make you accept collect calls, or pay for telegrams or mailings in an attempt to contact you or collect debts.”Unfair Practices” also restricts debt collects from using a postcard to contact you. They must enclose all correspondence in an envelope so that no one else can read your mail. ANY TAKERS EMAIL ME AND WE CAN BOTH SUE THE CRAP OUT OF THIS GUY. Email me:suedavid8nsb@gmail.com I am not affiliated with this guy or any debt collections firms and I will keep your info confidential the goal is to get us money back from all the violations this guy does and get the law to be on our side.
This guy was unbelievable--I made the mistake of answering the call and he asked for a woman's name. I told him that he had the wrong number and he kept pushing finally asking me didn't she live at MY ADDRESS. My telephone number was NEVER associated with the woman he was looking for but she and her husband were the former owners of our house. I can only assume that this guy was cross referencing databases but it kind of scared me to be honest! I'm glad that I have big dogs who don't like strange people!!
This guy Dave Wright keeps callinmg my work, leaves message after message both there and my cell. Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Borderline abusive, this guy needs to be fired.
This person Dave Wright calls my cell phone atleast 5 times a day, leaving rude messages, almost threatening messages. I have tried to call back, but gotten no where, I will be damned if I will continue with his abuse. I registered all of our phone numbers with the Do Not Call Registry, so if he continues his abuse it is illegal and I can do something about it.
Same as everyone else, called my neighbor looking for my sister. Who has never lived with me or at this address. What business does he work for? Anyone know?
Same Dave has called my husband and I several times about a debt that we are paying with the creditor themselves - and when I have told him that he says that i'm a liar! He then asks for more information on my address and such and when I won't give it to him he then calls my mother in law and my husband's place of work! This guy's "power" has totally gone to his head!! With all of the privacy policies out there isn't he making a huge violation in telling other people the we aren't paying a debt and he needs to find us!?! What a CREEP!
Yes another Creep David call. The phone land line phone companies need to let us block any phone company like the cell phone companies do. The people they are really trying to get lived here over 10 years ago and all I know about them is they have been divorced since 2003....I never call any of these people back because most of them have dead end phone numbers.I only answer calls form people I know.. Over the last 6 months over 100 of these kind of calls and only 20 from people that should be calling me.Might just disconnect my land line phone.MAD!!!!!!!!!
Really glad I read these posts because this guy is calling me and people that I know! Crazy!!
So today my 11-year-old brother came to my mother with a hand-written note that had been torn off of a piece of notebook paper that said my mother's name on it (spelled incorrectly) that instructed her to call this phone number that had been left on it. She called and there was no answer so he left a voicemail. She got a call back from David Wright and he asked to speak with me- that he had urgent business he needed to speak with me about. She didn't give him my number because she wanted to make sure I knew him. She calle me and I have never heard his name in my life so she called him back and asked him what kind of "business" he needed to discuss with me. He then proceeded to very rudely tell my mother that since I am no longer a minor it is none of her concern and she told him that he's making it her concern by showing up on her doorstep unannounced and asking to speak with her. He hung up. Once I heard about this I called the police and gave them a statement. An officer called David Wright and left a voicemail with him saying that I had requested that he not try to contact me anymore and if he does he will be charged with harassment and stalking. He hasn't tried contacting my mother and has not responded to the officer yet so I'm assuming we scared him off. I highly encourage you all to do the same. Maybe this creep will get in trouble if enough people report him. This guy has crossed the line and I'm not going to tolerate it and neither should you.
