These calls started at 8am and continued every hr until I blocked the calls. He said he was calling about my computer!
Got a call from this number, it showed up on my phone as being from Seattle WA, guy had a thick indian accent. He tells me in an urgent tone that my computer is not receiving the proper updates. I said "What kind of updates?" He says "it's not getting it's proper updates!" I stated that this had to be some kind of joke and he literally yells at me "THIS IS NOT A JOKE" and I just laughed said obviously this is a scam and hung up on him.Be careful, don't give these people ANY INFORMATION
Called and I unplugged my home phone. Seems to help getting less calls or at least the same number doesn't keep calling over and over again until you block it. Funny, I NEVER give out my cell phone number. My dentist repeatedly asks for it and finally I said "and how secure is your computer system?" and the receptionist stopped asking. I never put it in a website like Amazon, Facebook (ugh, seriously?), or USPS. Never. Nobody has my cell but family and friends. And its funny but I NEVER get a spammer or phony call on my cell. Just my home phone.
They are trying to contact you to sell you an extended auto warranty. They are the most obnoxious, aggravating, unprofessional company out there. I've cussed them out many times, and still get calls to my cell, work, home. I personally walked into the dealership that sold me the vehicle they're calling about, and expressed my anger at them allowoing my numbers to get out there. Also telling them I WILL NOT buy a car from them again because of their actions. What dealerships do, is sell our numbers (in lists) to these service companies. Dealerships deny it, but I have a guy in my civic group who was previously auto sales manager and he acknowledges that they do.
I received a voice mail message from 206-777-1088 call on 10-28-15 at 4:12 pm pst. A pre-recorded message didn't start from the beginning, but the first words were "Fraud" and "Federal Criminal Offense". Indicated that if I wanted to avoid being arrested or face additional criminal charges, I should call back at "202 697-9509. After the number was repeated for a second time, the message ends with "Hope to hear from you soon" to avoid charges being filed. Well, if this isn't a SCAM call, I don't know what it is--but they were at least friendly!!!
The guy calls from many different numbers this is the latest one. He claims to be selling G.E. home security systems. I have asked very politely to remove my number from his call list many times. The last time he called i finally lost my temper although i dont think that did any good. These people don't have a life and enjoy pissing people off. I am one step away from filing a harassment lawsuit. representative
I got an offer to buy an extended warrantee for my 1961 VW Bug....with just over 500,000 on it. Bug runs just fine, recently rebuilt etc.
