apparently amazon now has their own delivery service. I met my delivery person this morning. my confusion was due to fact I had not ordered from Amazon. vendor shipped via Amazon delivery without informing me.
This was the Amazon driver asking how to handle my delivery since I was not home to receive it. I provided instructions and he sent a photo of where he left my package :)
it turns out it was Amazon deliveries. met the delivery person this morning. confusion was due to lack of communication. I had ordeted from another vendor. was not notified that the package was coming via Amazon. so of course I was not expecting a a package from Amazon and it was not referenced in my Amazon account. Much Ado About Nothing.
Amazon uses USPS, UPS, and FedEX. They do not call ahead. They leave the package on your doorstep and leave.
in my case, I had ordered from another compsny. was not informed that package was coming via Amazon. met the Amazon delivery person this morning. all this fuss is preventable with better communication.
It is Amazon, they just called, I missed it, cannot call the number back but check your order status on Amazon, mine showed it was just delivered at the time they called.
I just got a call from this number, and Googled it to see who it was, as I didn't recognize the number. Saw the comments on here saying it was Amazon, and answered, thinking it was going to be some scam "saying" they're from Amazon. Turns out I was wrong, so I'm glad I answered the phone! They were trying to find out where to deliver my package, as I live in an apartment. One more thing, that at first made me think it was a scam, is I heard a dog barking in the background when I first answered. Turns out the guy was at my door when he called, and it was my dog barking. I've never heard my dog on the phone before. LOL I'm going to add this number to my contacts, for any future possible delivery calls.
Remember the good old days of "ding-dong-ditch?" You'd ring someone's doorbell and run like Hell? Tell in Vegas, that's all these delivery dude do: ring your doorbell (if they even do that much), then drop off the package and drive away like a scalded dog. In all my years of using Amazon delivery there has NEVER been a time where they called ahead. Whomever is writing all these entries: They are SHILLS. They are hiding behind a valid number but are NOT Amazon delivery. Period.
