I work at Seattle Childrens and YES this is the caller ID that comes up from ANY phone in the hospital. It is NOT Seattle School District. If you call it right now, go ahead, call it, it says 'you have reached the caller ID phone number for Seattle CHildrens Hospital..."

This is definitely Seattle Children's outgoing number. My husband works there, and this is the number that appears when he calls.

I recieved a call from 1-206-987-0000. When I picked up and said hello, the caller immediately hung up on me.

Yes, this is the LDN (Listed Directory Number) for Seattle Children's Hospital. There is a patient phone inside every treatment room -- every patient and family member can dial out and 206-987-0000 will be the caller ID displayed. Unfortunately we have no control over misdialed calls. The announcement you get when you dial 206-987-0000 does indicate that you can call 206-987-2000, which is the main switchboard, to report any issues or suspected abuse.

Frustrated said: "There is no person on the other line, it just beeps when I answer." That would be a fax machine then, and yes they do sometimes get mis-programmed. If you call into the switchboard (206-987-2000) they can track down which one it is and get it fixed. They'll usually try 5-7 times and if they don't hear fax tones on your end they stop calling.

Please stop calling me all the time..I dont know anyone at the childres hospital

These annoying telemarketers just woke me up at 1:40 am. FCC hasn't done enough to stop this nuisance. I get various numbers calling 2-3 tomes per week and I'm unlisted.

Confirmed: This is Seattle Children's, they called about setting up a follow-up appt for my daughter. Not sure why others are getting telemarketers or whatnot.
