my husband received a call from 207.738.5788 ....they started talking about his credit card.....(he does not own credit cards at all) and then the call got disconnected and when we call back, we also get the recording announcing the number is a non working number....
They called my Cell today, but I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. BTW, I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. I've since put them on my block call list after reading this thread.
I also called back, even though I felt it was a scam call, and it is disconnected/not a good number. Figures that these low life scammers are chicken sh*t and can't be talked with like a real person. That is proof enough for me that they are no good.
Started with Robocall claiming to be Cardmember Services and better interest rates are available by pressing "1". Clearly a deceptive marketing call at that point. I was transferred to a live person at that point and I asked "What company is this?" He answered "Cardmember Services" and went into his pitch. When I pointed out that I'm on the Do Not Call Registry, he claimed that I'm already a customer and so the registry doesn't apply. He continued with the pitch and I then asked to be removed from future calls. He said, "We can do that...don't hang up". And he proceeded to hang up on me.
Another number for my black list. Glad I signed up for the "Do Not Call" list. It appears to have some use as it gainfully employs some government slugs who if not on the payroll would probably be making these scam calls rather than just doing nothing!
Got a call from them, didn't answer, Googled number, found this site. Very glad, but also wondering who gave them my number!
Scam by Spam. I called the number using caller ID block, and got the proverbial message this number is no longer in service, I immediately redialed and the message dropped and I got a robo-server trying to redial the next spam victim, I immediately redialed and got dead silence/crickets.I suspect the reason these scam-spammers use the "no longer in service" message is so that people calling back will think the original phone number is unknown and the one dialed is the one being spoofed and is inactive; therefore, no reason to report the number. Though, we know this number is active and someone owns the robo-server on the other end.
