OK, I will repost my earlier post since it is obvious many people don't get it. They do no have YOUR number they have ALL the numbers and are dialing as many of them as they can over and over hoping some idiot gives them their credit card number. They do not know who has the number, it is just a number. I do not answer unknown calls from other states so I am not annoyed by them. Someone does not need to know your phone number to call you. They can randomly call all the phone numbers in the world. It is the wonder of computerized dialing. Did they ask for you by name? I doubt it. The computer just happened to run across your phone number as it was running through a list of phone numbers. There are innocent answers to most events if we look past the paranoia.

My 16 yr old son just had this number call him. I would like to know who this is as when I called back they said the phone number is disconnected.
googled the 207 number - the caller is based in South China, Maine - phone company is Northland Telephone in Fort Kent, Maine - I think it is a scam - they make you inquisitive to look up the number and make an attempt to get a virus on your computer - luckily I am protected so my anitvirus program picked up on it and that was the end of that.... "so be ware"
I RECEIVED A CALL FROM SOME THIRSTY SPANISH SPEAKING LADY. DON'T UNDERSTAND SPANISH, THEREFORE, I HUNG UP ON HER THIRSTY BEHIND. LAW ENFORCEMENT HAD BETTER STEP THEIR GAME UP AND CATCH THESE CRIMINALS.

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.
