got a call saying i needed to return their call or have my lawyer call that i was being getting arrested..

Got a call saying i had a legal emergency... And to call my lawyer. I know this not to be true and told them to stop calling my phone and they hung up

They are harassing my human resource department how can I make them stop I am going to lose my job

Same happened to me i was so afraid at first. They contacted my job as well and my boss called me. So i was so concerned but i knew i did mothing to get into trouble. So naturally i was freaked out. I went to my local pd. And had them run a check to see if there was a warrent on me like the guy said. But nothing came up. They said it was a scam. The indian gentleman going by the name john smith wanted me to get a pre paid credit card and pay him $250 dollars to make this go away. What [***] some people are. I hope the police can cetch these people and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. I admit after all that i was still a little worried till i passed over this web page. Now i am a little more relieved and i decided to share my experience. With others to hopefully help someone else get there mind at ease if these [***] did the same to them. It is a scam!!!!!dont be afraid and certinally dont send them your hard earned money.

I got this call a few times, i know i did nothing wrong, so i'm not worried about it.i wish they would stop calling my cell and job..

says his name is Tony Clark, but has a very heavy accent. I told him I was on the National Do Not Call List and hung up. He then proceeded to call back 3 more times. The last time he left a message saying that I or my attorney of record must return his call within 24 hours and that the only thing he could say if I didn't return his call was "Good Luck". He tried to sound menacing. I have had this type of call before from another scammer who claimed that they would have me arrested for a "payday loan that was delinquent". I do not have any payday loans and am not delinquent on any other items. They are trying to scare people into paying them money. I read up on the laws and you cannot be arrested for delinquent bills. (If you could, there would be more people in jail than out on the streets!)
