Not Chase bank, Fraud

Was applying for a CC through Amazon Prime. Do not need it but thought it might save me money.

The caller stated they were calling from conintental Airlines wanting to verify Fraud Protection. However, I have not used this airline for any services. Caller said it was not a solicitation.

wendy miller called stating she was from chase bank fraud protection.left 888-204-8630.chase stated that it was not them.

Called Chase (United mileage CC) fraud department. They check the the number and told me that 888-204-8630 is legitimate phone number of “Chase fraud prevention unit”. Will called them next week

That is the name he used when calling me. They left a message saying they were calling from Chase fraud department. I called the number on my card and the real Chase said that no one from their company called me. I called this number afterward to see what they would say and they asked for my social security number to look up my account. That's when I told her I had called the police to report them. she hung up. They are obviously fraud. If it were really appropriate there's no way she would have hung up. Do not give them ANY of your personal information.

This is a legit number for Chase new accounts fraud department. I called Chase direct and was directed to this number by their reps. Everything is legitIf you fill out a credit application with Chase for a new credit card and they want to verify you filled out the app you will get a call from this number which is their new accounts department security dept.Everything is ok with this number for those wondering.

Rec'd call with message to call the 888-204-8630 stating it is the fraud dept from chase giving a reference call. I called my bank direct. no such number in their directory. All is ok on my accounts.SCAM

This number is for your protection for a new application! Did you apply for a new credit card? Wow, you got a call right after you applied? ?That seems like fraud to you? Your banking dept or debit card dept has nothing to do with the credit card dept, they would not know that the fraud prevention dept called you.
