same pop-up like everyone else.... what a pain!

Same pop up while my grandson was playing Roblox! He thought he broke the computer! Deleted it in task manager and it's gone!

Go into Task manager to find it and delete it.

Scammer - bogus

Scam....wait couple minutes, it will unfreeze - then just close that tab. My computer is working fine having closed that tab.

i got the same pop up message on my computer that froze everything. said all my information was at risk and to call this number to fix it and enter user name and password. i hit control-alt-delete to unfreeze and rebooted. definitely a scam.

How did you get it off your laptop?

I got a pop up on computer saying someone trying to hack bank account and to call to lock acct. I did not call.

Same as honey bee, I got a pop up that froze everything on my laptop 2019-10-30 said it was from Microsoft edge, and to call that number, which I did. They said someone was trying to hack into my computer for the purposes of identity theft, wanted me to buy identity theft protection at which time I questioned whether this was a scam. Unfortunately I had already allowed them access to my computer, they said they fixed the problem. I uninstalled the software that gave them access almost immediately afterwards. Later learned that Microsoft does not supply phone numbers like that on pop ups
