This was a follow up call on an insurance claim I filed with USAA. The ID comes up as 210, but it's the USAA main switch. Call was legit.

I am a real person and a real disgusted member. This is not a plant this is a real message.like I said beware. I know for fact that usaa does not let anyone use there name .so if someone is calling it is a third party of usaa . They r not the company they use to be and the third party people r very rude . If u r actully speaking with the real usaa u know . They r very profesional and know who u r after all it members only.

Apparently I'm Eve, and I own a Civic that's been stolen!Nah, not me! I trust that this isn't USAA. It's a scammer. They even left a different callback number (they left a message) that someone already posted here.And for USAA customers, this wasn't started by USAA, and USAA didn't give out your numbers. I've never dealt with them, ever. The scammers are hitting our numbers at random, hoping for a sucker.Plus, I'm on my state and the federal DNC list. I've been on it for about a year. Scammers don't follow that list. They're already doing something illegal, so why should they care, y'know?If this number calls you, call back the customer service number on USAA's website if you aren't convinced it's the scammer. They should set it straight.

Not that USAA's number couldn't be spoofed, but in my case it was not. I have been a USAA member since 1982, IIRC. My hubby and I were involved in a minor collision on our way to visit family for Christmas. This call was from USAA needing to discuss the claim. I AM a little annoyed that they called my home phone (their voicemail was then emailed to me)--as the accident location would indicate, I'm not at home, and I had provided a local number when initiating the claim. But anyway, this was not a scam call. Again, though, the bad guys, may they all burn in Hades, can spoof caller IDs. BTW, this site needs a call type of "legitimate business call" or something similar.
