Left a message saying they were with the fraud prevention department of my credit card company. I returned the call by calling the regular toll free customer service number printed on the actual card who confirmed that fraud prevention had actually been trying to get a hold of me.

Got alled twice tonight. Message left. Total liars. Sounds like from overseas

Got a call from this number and it was legitimate. My credit card had been compromised and it was the mbna authorization department. If you are worried call back the number on the back of your card to confirm but in my case there were in fact 2 unauthorized charges that had just been added to my account.

this number call me every other day. when I pick up, can here background sound no one speak then hang up.

This number is NOT a fraud call. It is Mastercard calling to report that your mastercard has likely been compromised. If I were you, I'd call them back.

Inquiring whether I still wish to have funds transferred to my chequing account as of February 4th, 2015. I asked her the date of this application and she couldn't state the date because she didn't have the Application in front of her. I advised her then to obtain and application and call me back. I have not made any such Application.

It was actually mastercard, and my card had indeed been compromised. I just called the number on the back of my card as suggested.
