I thought it may have been a scam also. I had a balance from Farm Bureau when I switched insurance companies and they called me to pay my balance off. I called Farm Bureau in my hometown and I was assured that it was not a scam, they pick up unpaid accounts. I did pay my balance through them. Hope this helps someone. :)
