This number is a scam to purchase puppies. Foreign based scam wanting your personal details stating they are interested in purchasing a puppy.If you have an ad placed anywhere for puppies more than likely you will receive a scam call from this number. Actually there is a series of the same number with the last 2 digits or the last digit of the number changed. They will also use a operator to speak to you on their behalf.End the call, tell them you screen all potential buyers of your pups. Usually they will abruptly hang up. If not, then tell them you are not interested in selling to them.Whatever you do....DO NOT give out your personal info to them!

I have a well-established website for my puppies with my phone number posted, and have been receiving calls from this number and -2224, -2227, -2228 for about two weeks now. At first, I would answer the phone; no one ever said anything, so I hung up. I have caller i.d. Now when they call, I don't answer, and they always let the phone ring three times before giving up. I've gotten up to six calls per day from them. I called Bellsouth yesterday. The man tried to sell me another monthly service that will let me block calls (leave it to Bellsouth to try to make money on every event!) Eventually, he gave me the phone number for "annoyance complaints". It's 888 966-6222. Haven't had a chance to call yet, but I will today.

Odd call from an odd number. 2 xI answered on second attempt, and no reply. Just silence... Was very creeped out until there was mention of puppies. How do we get rid of them!!?

Just got a call from 222-222-2222 and the person spoke perfect English and asked if I was Joe. I asked "Who is calling, please?" and they hung up. They knew my name.

The last several weeks, I keep getting phone calls on my cell from 407-222-2222 or 386-222-2222. As soon as I say hello, the other side hang up. Then they will call again after 1 or 2 hours. I wonder what is the purpose of the calls. It is definately not telemarketing because they do not talk to you. My cell phone company said there is no way to block the calls. Any ideas?

Got a call from this #, did not answer it and they did not leave a message. Can't they track down the ownews of this #?

well, the gizmo project (gizmo5.com) gives out any number in the 222 area code, so anyone can make a conf at 222-222-2222 but you have to dial in, I think

Received call today from man I couldn't hardly understand. Seemed strange and checked google for this number and found all these references. Called can not be identified, thinking about contact the FBI

Guy called saying he was from "Ultimate Bet". Stated that there was a problem w/ a deposit w/ the account.Don't know what this was really about as no in the household does any betting on line.Asked for more info about said "account" and immediately got dial tone!

I live in st. Louis. 314 area code. Just recieved a call from this number with no message. I didn't answer because i assumed it was a scam or sales pitch
