identified as URG - pressed 1 to 'make an appt' to have my carpets cleaned to tell the person to f*ing stop calling but they hung up on me immediately. does the FCC even bother to do anything about the Do Not Call list? can we lobby Congress to put some teeth into penalties for violating the DNC?

This number called my phone several times-thtey hear the machine and hang up---new phoney numers every day---it is ridic ulous!

Called at the same time all of the scam calls tend to come through. The carpet cleaning scam is connected to the credit card scam, is connected to the home security scam, is connected to the ....... (you name it, they scam call it). Just the typical criminal scammer calling, these folks place millions of calls a day and nothing keeps them from spoofing a new number and calling you back with yet another scam variation.

Since they’re already violating the law by calling you with a pre-recorded message, as well as not identifying themselves, pressing “1” probably just informs them that there’s a live person at your telephone number.

Even after being part of court case against this "Carpet Cleaning" scam by New York State, which the state won, after about a year I started to get calls again from this same bunch, from different telephone numbers.The honest person in this country can't even be protected by official government, when they try to. The criminal element is OVERFLOWING THE DAM, and government's putting their"finger in the dyke" approach is useless!!
