maybe you have too much time on your hands being able to proof read everyones comments all the time, gee scam hunter maybe theres an elementary school nearby in which you can teach hooked on phonics to instead of worrying about if i spelled your name right, ill tell you what, pay your unsettled debts and ill stop calling you everyday
I owed slightly over $10,000 and I was able to settle my debt for $3,014.57. These people did threaten legal action however it took for them to threaten me for me to actually talk to them. It turned out that i saved thousands of dollars. I agree with the one gentlemen who stated if i gave you 10 grand 15 years ago i would still want my money 15 years later. What does time have to do with anything? There is another person stating "bunch of collection crooks" Are you kidding me? We are the crooks! We are the ones that owe the money and in my opinion collectors are not able to do enough in order to get people to pay. Most agencies read from a script and dont say anything to entice the debtor to pay. I bet this agency makes a lot more money than most and it is actually legitimate besides the harassment factor. Whoever it was beat the system. I know a lot of you people have a lot of debt and its very hard to keep up on. It may seem almost imposible but my suggestion is to at least listen to what these collectors have to offer for a settlement and dont worry so much about how they go about getting your attention. Good luck to all of you.
same story, caller threatened to place my parents in jail over a supposed claim that does not exist. said i owed 6000 in a civil suit over a debt that cannot be mine. they offered to take an over the phone payment of 1400 . they refused to provide documents for the civil suit. Again they refused to give paperwork, only stating that a payment must be made. they wanted a checking account number to set up a electronic bank transfer, they also refused to accept a credit card. I guess i will be waiting to see what the police have to say about this.
Has anyone of this message have anything happen to them after the call, as far as getting court papers and such?
I got a call this morning from 240-235-4133...someone stating that a suit had been filed against me and that I needed to contact investigator Scott Cullins (not sure if that is how the last name is spelled bt that is how it sounded)to contact him at 240-483-4601 about the matter. So I called right away and he said that a suit had been filed in my county in Georgia and that I was being charged with theft, fraud, and malicious yada yada yada...here's a little background:last year I started getting collection calls and letters about a credit card account I never had. it had my name but not my s.s.# or my d.o.b. So I thought someone had stolen my identity. When I contacted the first collection co. they ran the social number and it came back as my brother. I had been listed as a reference. Somehow during the whole collection process, my name got listed as the card holder, but the account had his social number and d.o.b.. huge mess! my brother paid off the account in November and I'm still dealing with bs from it all. He has all paperwork showing that the account is paid. Now back to the deal with this P.I. Scott Cullins and his phone call to me. He said I owed a credit card co. so much amount ($7,000.00) and never paid and that they tried to settle with me for a less amount and I was stupid for not taking this opportunity. I was going to try and explain the whole situation to him but he went on trying to talk over me and me trying to talk over him...it got to be a shouting match and he yelled "see you in court" and hung up on me. so I called back and asked him to please not hang up on me and to just listen, and he said no, you listen...and we went on and on again. then he told me to shut my mouth got a call this morning from 240-235-4133 stating that i needed to contact private investigator Scott Cullins (not sure if that is the last name spelling, but that's how it sounded) at 240-483-4601 regarding a suit that had been filed against me in my county in Georgia. That I was being charged with theft by taking, fraud, and malicious yada yada yada...and I had a few choice words for him and he went on to say that he was going to put a lein on my bank account and they'll see me in court and i was nothing and trash and that my life was going to change so much in the next 72 hrs. that it would make my head spin...etc. It got very ugly. My husband called and asked the man for the company's name and address that he worked for and the guy said f*** you. and said that my husband ain't sh** and neither is his wife. LOL it's all kind of funny now, but I was sooooo mad at the moment. Anyway, my husband went to our bank and had it flagged and also went to our police and filed a complaint against them. They are going to contact the man and wil record any future phone calls that is made to us from either number.I'll be reporting him further...

I also received a call from this number from a person claiming to be an investigator and that I was be named in a civil suit. Fortunately my daughter is a lawyer working for the Justice Dept and I had her listen to the message. Upon her advice I will not return this call.
