Got a call from this number, they said they were from Medicare and were doing a survey. I told them I don't get Medicare and then they said it was about my husband. They new both our names.Hung up after that.
I keep getting these calls, too, but I never answer them and they never leave a voicemail. However, from reading the other posts here, I'm pretty sure it's a call-center that can be hired by a variety of companies to make outbound calls for them, either to sell something or to raise donations. Nothing to worry about--the reason you may not get to speak to anyone when you answer is because their automated dialing system lets them dial several numbers at a time, and they only speak with the one that answers first. The background noise, of course, is the sound of hundreds of people making sales-calls. You can definitely ignore this one!
The person that called was very rude and argumentative when I tried to find out who she was. The only response I finally got was that they were calling for my mother because she was a medicare recipient. We get a number of calls at home from unwanted solicitations from what are obviously call centers overseas. Does anyone know how to get these calls blocked?
I have been called by this number for two weeks at several times of the day. They never leave a message.
240-507-1192 several times a day. I don not answer but I googled the number and found out I was not alone in getting these calls.
This number had called me at all hours of the day/night. I finally was able to answer and it was an asian sounding guy who asked for Brandy, who used to be the holder of my number (darn you recycled numbers!) and I believe he said he was from some medical place and then asked me if anyone in my household has diabetes. When I told him no, he sounded very healthy about that and thanked me for my time and then ended with "Stay healthy!".
So I too am getting calls from this number. I answered the call and was asked for a man that does not exsist in my life. Told them this. Then they started calling me . They wanted to know if i had medicare . I said no and hung up . Now they call all the time. This last time i was rude and told them what I thought. And no its not for unpaid bills.
They called a few mins ago. I tape recorded the call. A woman with an Asian accent said she could help me with my diabetes supplies. I'm not a senior citizen and I don't have diabetes. I asked four times what state their company was located in before I got a straight answer. Caller ID said Bethesda, MD.
