claimed to be from Hayward CA police department and would be issuing an arrest warrant for a federal IRS case. Gave me the number of the "IRS agent" I should call to take care of the matter. Scam: Local police do not issue warrants on Federal cases, IRS does issue criminal charges for unpaid taxes unless fraud is involved, "IRS agent" had a phone number in Eastern Washington State (I have contacted police in that town to report the incident), IRS would use a CA agent on a CA taxpayer
