Just received the same vm. It gives me the creeps.

I live in Houston (Pearland). The message came in at 2:37... I really wish there was some clue as to who / what this is. It seems like it has been going on for some time. I tried to call the number back and it did not go through.

I got the call in Friendswood on 7.8 - The voice was a woman, and she apologized for the message, but wanted to let me know how much I mean to her and others, and that for some reason, she thought I needed to hear that today.I have tried to track down the owner of that line, (as others have) but can't even find the area code. Eek!

It seems as if these calls are being made from the non-existant 247 area code to people living in the greater Houston area. These are recorded male and female voices delivering "positive" messages. However, with so many scams today, it is NOT pleasant to receive messages from an unidentified caller making the calls from a Phantom Area Code. If it were on the up and up, surely they would identify themselves or their organization.

I just read your email. I too have received several calls. Neither said it was urgent to call them back. It was just a sweet email as if someone was thinking of you today. Also, not long ago, a relative called my son and left a message that she kept hearing such nice things about me and had never met me and wanted to meet me. That really made me feel good because I knew the relatives parents but have not met their chlld who was inquiring about me. Whatever the kindness, there is nothing like love whether it is this way or other ways. Nothing takes it place on this earth, no material thing. 7/11/08 10:21 am Houston area too.. same call, same message, same number. I googled the number and it pulled up this website. My elderly neighbor recently gave her entire retirement fund to a caller that made promises to her. Though the words were kind, I still find myself afraid of any underlying motives.

Same message...and also in Houston.

Received a call from this number on 7/11/08 at noon. Same message as others. Who or what organization is making the calls? Nice to receive the message but concerned about reason for the call.
