I got this same call at 11:30 today. My mother got this call a few days ago. Both of us live in Clear Lake area. I looked up the 247 area code and it is not a vaild aread code.
January 14, 2008This morning I received the same message from this number. I am also in Houston, TX.
Same call, 2:30 today, but I had a theory.I'm a teacher, and I'm in the sort of profession where people tend to feel kind of touchy-feely by nature (not to say religion is "touchy-feely," just that elementary teachers are nurturers in all forms). Is it possible that there's a church that makes these calls as part of a prayer list? I could see people personally and professionally that would put me on their church's prayer list, which would then send the message in phone form as a simple form of outreach.I've also had some difficulty in my life, getting some unfortunate but socially awkward (medical) news the last two days in particular, where I could see someone not knowing how to approach me to tell me that they cared (because of the sensitive nature of the news), but still wanting to do so. Thus, the inclusion in the prayer circle and on the call list.We do have a few mega-churches around town that could conceivably have the resources and initiative. What do you think?
Today is Jan. 14, 2008. At about 12:35PM I received the exact same message from woman who sounded hispanic, but spoke good english. It's a nice message & I'm hoping that perhaps somebody or organization is trying to put some positive 'vibes' into our sad world.

It was a male voice.I have not given blood recently, my phone is not through comcast.It is nice to know that I am not the only one who has gotten these phone calls.

This Is NOT Wells Fargo! It does seem legit, but it is NOT. I called Wells Fargo & they said no one called me. ALWAYS call the # on the back of your credit card no matter what company it is.
