Legitimate call. They are getting the number from Mortgage companies when the homeowner is in danger of losing his house. Not sure why my number and name were still on the call list, since I've been divorced from the [***] and the house for several years now, but the call is definitely legit and they don't ask any outrageous questions. I didn't want to provide my name, so she told me what names they had on file and I confirmed. Now they can go and bother the ex. LOL
The people are idiots at Greenpath! First off, why does the caller ID show "Unknown Name" when they call? The caller ID should say Greenpath. I don't answer calls from "Unknown Name"! They take you down rabbit trails & they know nothing about the options available for saving your home/avoiding foreclosure. You'd be much better off dealing with an organization such as Lutheran Social Service Financial Counseling at 888-577-2227. They have very competent Housing Counselors there.

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.
