My 80 year old mother gets at least 5 calls a day from different numbers saying they need more info re a loan she started and they just need more info for her 'loan up to 62k.' Since my mother is hard of hearing and gets SPAM calls all day long, she never answers her phone. These people are relentless. I finally called one of the numbers they left, went thru the automated press this and that etc. and got a 'Mark.' He didn't even answer with the name of his company, and when I asked him, he said it was Capital Loan Center. I told him I wanted all calls stopped to my mother or I was reporting them as fraud. He said OK and hung up:) Didn't ask me who I was, who my mother was, or anything else (not that I'd give him other info). Other area codes they use are 667 and 927. Be aware!

Don't call these guys. Bunch of dishonest people working here, giving fake names and trying to get your social security number so they can use it for fraudulent purposes.Today I spoke with people who claimed their names wereAlex HernandezRonnie WalkerAnson MatthewsDaniel JeffersonBut there are all fake names, they were all Indian, and by my 5th call, these guys actually started recycling names. I don't like this because it makes it very had to keep records if they lie and make up fake names. You are likely to get your personal information ripped off and sold on the indian black market.
If you googled this number you would find out that other then this webpage that every other listing of this number is linked to Transunion Credit Beureau's Fraud Reporting Agency. You can look up Transunion directly and look up thier contact info, if you don't believe it. I will mention that it does sound like this guy's are outsourced in India and they did initially ask me for my Social Security Number but I simply told them that I was not comfortable with giving out that information and they verified me by my name and address. It is also standard procedure for outsourced employees to have an "american name" so the customers calling in have a supposedly easier time talking to them.
I just felt uncomfortable on this 800-916-8800 number. Same feeling that it wasn't TransUnion and they were trying to get my info - which they did to some degree. Who do I tell?
I agree--I have called them before due to potential fraudulent activity and they were helpful. The operators are Indian but if you google the phone number, you will see that it is affiliated with a trusted company. It worked for me today and I was initially concerned as well.
