Called my cell saying a company filed a complaint against me. Never heard of the company before. I suspect a scam.

I keep getting this same call and message as well.

Hey kim. I got a call from 262-222-0799 this mornin saying there has been a complaint against me and I was to call this number back right away. So I seen you and misty got same call. So I guess what I'm asking is that this is just a scam call. It was a lady's voice that left the message. Thanks for any info you can give me

This person has called me on regard to a company that has filed a complaint against me. It must be a scam because I don't live in Wisconsin. Oh, and I am a minor.

it is a scam, bogus collection agency that buys old closed accounts or paid out accounts, anyone stating that a complaint is filed against you, it is a illegal tact file the complaint on FTC page and enter the number, they spoof numbers when you tell them it is illegal they will hang the phone in your face, cause they know it is illegal, the lad told me good look in reporting her, she refuse to give business information, but demanded I give her my SSN number, because she didn't believe the computer called me...LOL

I want to say Thanks to you all for your info. I figured it was a scam. As I never been behind on any of my bills and all are paid off. I have excellent credit. This number 262-222-0799 is coming from Wisconsin but it's a Chicago ill Phone number. I have the number blocked . I got up this mornin and seen they tried to call at 10 pm last night. I did contact the FTC. He said that the calls are coming from foreign country's and using United States phone numbers. You know it's so sad that people work so HARD for their money and people like these damn scammers try to take it from us. They want to live in our country well live like us then. GET A JOB!!!!!! We all just have to help protect each other from these scammers. Thanks again to you all that gave me and others for your info.

Wife keeps getting calls from 262-222-0799 that leaves a voicemail saying a complaint has been filed against her. She doesn't answer the call when she sees the number. Any way to stop this?

I have been receiving calls from this # for over a year now and recently found out my some has too. I have called back and left messages however nothing works. I've had messages left that are vague to specific stating the call is for a Emom (spelling) Hill. I have spammed the # but the calls are coming from different ones. If anyone knows how to stop these calls please share.
