Caller identified himself as "from customer service." I said, "customer service from who?" He said again, "I'm from customer service." I hung up.
I believe they call often to see what time you are actually home. My Brother who was 80 yrs old constantly received telemarketing calls between 2 and 4 every day. He just let his answering machine screen the calls. Same with another elderly friend. He never answered his phone between those hrs also. I just Googled the number and found all these posts. Be safe all.
Recorded message that I had been selected for a free cruise. BS call from some spammer. I hung up on them a reported them to the FTC.
"Congratulations you just won a trip to the Bahamas." Minutes after my hang up I got a follow up call from East Weymout Ma 339-499-5766. Federal and State Do not Call lists are a joke and don't work. Its time that every phone sold must have background search of buyer, a verified name, address and social security number of all buyers. Then for any intrusion on any other phone holders.they need jail time and fines. No more throw away phones.
