Got a voicemail from them when they called me:Hello, I'm calling on behalf of the City of Baltimore to conduct an important Opinion Survey about City Services. Sorry we missed you. We'll try again at another time. I don't even live in Baltimore anymore!
I've never understood why people are so irate about surveys. I mean so what if they call you? It's literally not as bad as people make it out to be. They don't want money and they aren't scammers. People think we're the devil but really don't even want to talk to us to find out what it's about.
Did you recently make an online payment or have some sort of interaction with your power company? After reading comments here, I realized that I had selected to take a survey when I made an online payment for my power bill. I never thought about it again that no survey popped up. Then I started getting calls from this number. I searched it online and found this forum. So most likely you all opted to take a survey with your power company who gave them your phone number. First of all, stop whining about getting the calls if you opted to take the survey. Second of all, you should talk to your power company about giving out your phone number, not yelling at associates who could not find a better job than to call people. I used to do telephone customer service and got threats on a daily basis just for explaining peoples bills to them. I can't imagine how people treat surveyors.
Just got a call. Said he was calling from Con Edison. Told him to not call me again. We'll see.
Because they're not allowed to leave messages. If you call back, you'll reach the office but the supervisors don't do the dialing of the surveys. Everybody is dialing on behalf of different companies, so they can't leave messages.

"Opinion polls are not included in the regulations that apply to telemarketing calls. I understand how the Federal law may be confusing." Get your head out of your [***] and listen to what they're saying. Call the FCC if you want, they'll gladly give you the number. Even the godforsaken FCC will tell you that they are legitimate and have every right to call you."We do not have a do not call list, HOWEVER, if you do not wish to participate in our research project, we respect your right to do so and will remove your number from our calling list."OH BUT WAIT. That means you have to VERIFY YOUR DAMN NUMBER. Just say it.The numbers are hand dialed and sometimes hand dialing has mistake because, obviously, it's hand dialing. Hand dialing means dialing by hand. WHOOPS SOMETIMES PEOPLE MESS UP.In conclusion, once again. Nice try, but better luck next time!
