scam- called home phone then cell phone. caller left a message saying he was a lawyer looking for a nephew of ours.. said there was a lawsuit against him.. we called back and said they dont serve over the phone. told them we knew it was a scam and they hung up on me.

They told me I owed money from 2011 8yrs ago.they called my job and told a co worker they were from core mediation. They got irate when I told they I don’t remember 8years ago couldn’t give me the original info on loan that I should have the info. So in 10 to 14days they are going to serve me papers at my job.
A guy called William Chase called me saying I owned 1800 since 2012 and need to make a payment before it go to court if not they will take me to court and I was about to provided my credit card number until I figured it out it was a scam call and told him I talked to my lawyer and right away said that he will update my account . DO NOT ANSWER ANY CALL FROM THIS NUMBER

I called Citibank's other number and confirmed this was their Consumer Support number. It is legitimate. Processed the information they needed to verify my account. I originally thought it was fraud but it is real.
