What they are doing is probably screening to see if these numbers are active or in use. If someone answers or even if it rings they know its a legit phone number and are either just archiving them all or selling the active ones...They called me in IL a few times now. Never answered.

This number just called my home phone (showed as coming from Ca) and when I didn't answer it, they called my cell number? Wth?Does that Do Not Call Registry even work anymore?
Writing "block your phone number" implies you want to know how to block your number so the party you're calling can't see your number. If that's really what you want to do, pushing *67 (star 67) blocks the party you're calling from knowing who's calling that one time.
