the do not call list is a joke,you will get more calls when you sing up

I just had the same thought right after that called this afternoon. I thought it was another abandoned call and was hanging up when the guy came on and said "..Home Center..." and I said "Do not call list and I know you are a fraud." and I hung up. Bleeping call center scum.

Actually my thoughts were a little different, but still numerical. I was thinking 666 and the implications that had in a Biblical sense. I once worked in a building whose address was 666 and one of our customers wouldn't come into the building, our manager had to meet him at another location. Also caller id said "WIRELESS CALLER" and that was a crock because it was definitely a call center.

This telemarketer calls daily. Sometimes I answer, sometimes I don't; sometimes there's a person on the line claiming "home improvement". We have told them to stop calling, not interested, etc. I cannot imagine that whoever the "home improvement' company may be would want to anger potential customers. But there's nothing we can do...maddening.

Received a call from a lady asking fo rme by name. She said she's calling from "Home Owners Assistance" which is connected with a government program. They noticed that home prices have dropped in my area and they want to stop by before 2:30pm (they called at 1pm) to leave a voucher for me to use. I asked what the voucher was for and she said home improvements to help increase the price of my home. I told her that everything we're going to do to the house has been done within the last 2-4 yrs. so I am not interested in or going to remodel anything else here. She said, "So you're not interested in painting your kitchen like you indicated last year." I told her, "I don't know who you talked to about painting my kitchen but it wasn't me. Why would I want to pay to re-paint something that was JUST done less than 2 yrs ago?!" She said, "Uhhhh, okay thank you." And hung up. SOOOOO SICK OF THESE SCAMMERS CALLING ALL DAY LONG!!

ID says: "Wireless caller"..... Call, say nothing, ignore the screener's warning, and you get blocked! All scammers and unknown, unspeaking callers get blocked forever! Good riddance!

Blocked after a call today at 12:45 pm.
