They left a message for me. Refinancing through Chase, they just called to confirm some details. -1000 is their main Caller ID number, but the reps will have differing callback numbers like 313-877-XXXX.
Repeated calls to a work number (I am a temp employee so no one should have this # to reach me; further I am not refinancing nor am I interested in refinancing). Since the ringer is turned off I miss the calls; no big deal. Eventually they will figure out the problem and stop calling. Sorry for the person whose # they are trying to call and might be misdialing (not so sorry if the applicant put down the wrong #, by accident or deliberately)
Got a check in the mail from Title Source, with absolutely no explanation about what it is for. After reading the previous posts, I believe it is probably a refund from closing costs on a Chase loan I did a few years ago, but hard to tell. What a way to do business.
Refinancing my home loan with Quicken Loans. This is their title company Title Source. Legit Caller.
It is TSI or TitleSource. They were likely calling to offer a low fee for an appraisal which is what they do. They pay (or offer) appraisers up to 50% less than what is customary and reasonable. So if you had a problem with your appraisal blame it on them for selecting the lowest fee appraiser which equates, often, to low quality.
Got a call about our refi. We are in the process of closing and they just wanted to confirm that we are signing paperwork at the bank the next day. They were sourced by Chase which is where we are banking at.
They hung up before I read this page. We're not involved in any refinancing, so I suspect it must be a scam or a cold call trying to drum up business.
