Prerecorded message when I answered. There was an option to press 1 to continue but no option to be removed from the calling list. When I was connected with a real person, he claimed he had no way to remove me from the calling list. He also had access to my Expedia credit report and said that my responding to the automated message constituted permission for him to access my information. When I asked for his supervisor, he said she was "busy." I said I would wait, and asked him for the name of his company so that I could file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. At that point he hung up on me. When I tried to call back the number, 316-300-0000, it rang and rang and was never picked up by anyone.
There is no "call list" associated with these people. Just computers dialing random numbers, waiting for somebody to answer. That is why they cannot remove us from the list, and why there is always that pause before the recording starts. I have to shut my phone off at night so I do not get midnight calls from these creeps.
The guy told me they are calling to lower my interest rate I told him I don't have a credit card so no need to lower my interest rate he said how old r u I said 45 (I'm really 29) he said u should b asshamed of yourself I said I need to speak with someone else the guy goes we don't any anyone else. Then this guy got on the line n said this is John how can I help u I said y r u calling me he said to lower my interest again I said I don't have a credit card he said he had my info I asked him what my name is...he then said u r a big fat lier... I said dont call my number again!!!
Another one of the spoofed numbers used by the "card services" scammers in their attempts to rip us off. Google my name to learn how to stop their annoying calls, while also having some fun!
Got a call from this number, 316-300-0000, at 4:44 PM today - and it popped up on my cell phone from Kansas. Area Code 316 is Wichita. Further, my caller ID said it was a person named Ron Gier, who google associated with that majorly sucky SPRINT corporation. Yes, the same sucky company that lays off thousands of employees at a time, some times right before the holidays, and sold off thousands of network employees to their bedmate, Ericsson. And yes, the same company who bought Nextel for a bizillion dollars and then lost their pants with the sour deal for no other reason than to pay bonus and stock to former Nextel managers and excutives who have now screwed the once powerful and admired Sprint Corporation into the ground. Yes, a wonderful example of American Greed and how to destroy what once was an excellent example of American Business. Sprint used to command a huge amount of respect in the marketplace - remember Candice Bergen and the PIN DROP commercials? But now, it's all been squandered by executives who actually get paid to destroy what was once great. Shame on the FCC for allowing any of this to happen, but, most of all - shame on those individuals at Sprint and their board of directors that knowlingly went down this road. It's a pity, too, since Sprint was founded by good people who actually cared about families and communities. Now, it's all about money. Money. Money. And, they don't care how they get it - they just want it - more and more of it. Not for their employees - but for their executives. What a perfect example of GREED. Shame. Shame. Shame.
I got a call from 316-300-0000 and the caller was a foreigner and when I said, "I'm on a do not call list, please do not call me again" he said, "Really B***H, are you going to fine my A$$? REALLY!!! I was shocked! I picked up a whistle and blew it as hard as I could into the phone! Hope that jerk needs a new ear drum!!! Sick of these crap calls!!!
