I got a call tonight at 8:34pm but I didn't know anyone was calling so i missed it. So i googled it and found this site =]

I got this call today while at work (2:50pm CST) & I'm glad I didn't answer it! I have Cingular/AT&T too. I wouldn't be surprised to find out if our numbers have been sold to scam companies. It is really only a matter of time before we start getting telemarketing calls on our cells since more & more people are giving up land-lines. :(

This is a scam that's going around. It's not a number that's in service because it's possible to call out with different call-back number. In fact, a common misconception of caller ID is that the number called is the same as the source. Please ignore random calls like this, especially if they say you've won something (in any language).If it's a contest you have entered, just be wary of whatsoever is offered and who you give out your personal information to.It's sickening how that get away with it.If they bother you too much, report it to the F.C.C.I believe this scam comes from one of two sources.1) It's either based on a crawler or a bot that looks for geniune numbers on the internet. The creation of these scripts are relatively easy to do. To avoid this, never submit your phone numbers on unsecure sites and never publish them on blogs where they may be visible to everyone.2) It could be based on those front-of-the door surveys or various shopping center kiosks. Never give out personal information to someone just because they have a name badge and a clipboard. Not all things are legitimate.3) It could just be a simple random dialer. The message was in Spanish but it's always a recording or someone speaking according to a sript (they stumbled in their words a lot). This should be very obvious... unless it's a disclaimer or terms and conditions of legitimate things.Respectfully, M. Galvez

Got a call from this number and no one answered

I got same call. Sounded like a canned sales message in Spanish. Is there any connection with this call and AT&T? Can AT&T check into this for us and are we getting charged for this?

im over in kuwait and got a call that would have been 9pm central time in the us. im an a att/cingular customer currently deployed. its a good thing i was asleep because it cost a lot to call back to/receive calls from the states but i did a white pages search and came up with what other people said. Got it at 9:09 AM PST with Qwest. Scam probably?

I've had this call on May 6 and 7 and just hung up. Wish there was software for blocking calls on my mobile.
