Calls but leave no messages. My phone is a "no solicitations" registered phone. According to a reverse # site, the calls are coming from a mobile phone in a small house in LA. Blocked caller but expect that they will try calling again.
And what site was that? One of those that is notorious for having out-of-date databases?By definition, a mobile phone can be anywhere, so it's use isn't restricted to a small house, or a large house, or a business building.
It says from the ASPCA - IT'S NOT!! I donate to the ASPCA and that's not their phone number. That number is used for a lot of different scams!! This number shows up for a lot of other scams
I have received a call twice from this number. It disconnects as soon as I answer. No message left. Won't answer again!
this place will NOT stop calling like 4-5 times a day I've blocked them, but they keep getting through somehow
I answered when they called, claiming to be working with the ASPCA and asking me to increase my monthly gift. I got bullied into saying "yes." I called the ASPCA directly and the agent told me that there's no way they can upgrade my donation amount in their system without asking for my full credit card number, and noted there was no record of an upgrade in my account. She said "that must be happening to a lot of people because I keep getting calls from people asking to update their card info, because their old cards have been compromised." Warning all here that if you DO connect DO NOT engage.
The caller ID says Los Angeles call. These are spam callers not the ASPCA. I have blocked this number.
I had been getting at least 2-3 calls a week from this number during the last couple of months. Never left a message. When I call back the recording says Donor Services of ASPCA and asked me to hold. Today I called back and finally decided to hold so that I can talk to someone to see if this is legit. I do support ASPCA financially and want to be able to help if there is indeed an urgent need. The person that answered the phone was quite rude, took my number when I asked them to stop calling and immediately hung up. I didn't have the opportunity to ask any questions. The experience was quite different from other charities I talk to (they usually acknowledge and thank you for support first and foremost). I am pretty sure at this point this is a scam. Will definitely block this number.
