Same guy Rick just did the same to me, said he was a submarine engineer and wanted to surprise someone with the furniture and wanted to send money through PayPal.. So thankful I looked up his name before moving forward. Thank you!!!

i got a message from a rick futoran today asking for mor information on my furniture but wants to communicate via direct email and not CL. he asked for my email saying he doesn't like CL. I got suspicious and decided to google his name. glad I did. thx

yes, rick futoran strikes again. I have a dining listed for $3300. he has asked me for my email so he can get more info. so glad I followed my gut.

I was texted from 312-809-1927. It sounded a little to good to be true. And so soon after I placed the add. I decided to check google and guess what? A scam!! I also received the same letter, word for word as everyone else. Can"nt something be done about this and this person?

Yup - that Rick Futoran guy - knew it was a scam on the second email - always so obvious.

received a response to a craigslist item from a CA number when the item is listed for sale in Tennessee.

It's a total scam. They ask for your PayPal info so they can pay from a fake account. By the time you realize it your furniture is gone (someone else always picks it up) and your out of both your expensive furniture and the money. It's a lose-lose situation. Report if possible. Look up "craigslist scam" on google and you'll get the lowdown.
