Keep receiving unwanted calls from this number, and I am on the do not call register.
Person who called was friendly and chuckled. He asked if I lived at a certain address. Address he mentioned I hadn't lived at for more than 30 years! I told him I didn't recognize him and I was terminating the call. I told him not to call me again. I hung up and set my call blocker to block all future calls.I didn't know the call was from Scientology.

Inform them the person they are calling is deceased, and that you find their phone call grossly offensive. Ask them if they have any dead relatives you could call them to ask for, so they can feel your pain. Then make up a particularly gruesome death. Suicide etc.Say things like "I cannot believe how evil someone would have to be to telemarket to a dead person". Get emotional.Worked 100% here.
this # called us several times...never leaving a message. So i called the # back. asked if it ws the church of scientology (after reading the comments on this website) She said it was the mailroom for the church of scientology. tried to get info out of me like my address and name, but i told her to have our # removed from their call list. She was a chatty girl...almost felt like she was trying to keep me on the line to trace the call or something...(paranoia IS just a heightened sense of awareness, afterall...). She told me her name was Debbie Cole, and if we got any more calls, to just ask for her in the mail room. Weird bunch, those scientologists.. I have heard they will go way out of their way to ruin you if you "quit" their group....[***] 'em.

Just got a phone call from some foreigner asking for me by my maiden name (It's been 25 years!) trying to verify an address in California that I haven't been at for 15 years (and didn't go by my maiden name then either).I called back and all they would tell me is that they were the mailroom cleaning up their mailing list.The crazy part is that I moved from California to another state clear across the country and have only had this number for six months. How did they trace my maiden name to a new address out of state 25 years after the name change? Also, I never was and never will be a part of Scientology. Never bought a book or anything and don't personally know any. I was 20 years old when I last used my maiden name for pete's sake!
