This is Synchrony Bank (issuer of Care Credit, Walmart & Sam’s Club Credit Cards, etc). I do in fact owe them money. But when they call, they never leave a message. I called the number back and that’s how I found out it was Synchrony.
Numerous calls originating from 330-443-5039, caller ID identifies as Synchrony.Callers never leave a message identifying or indicating the purpose of their call and are now blocked. We never answer calls from parties we don't recognize or from businesses that we are not anticipating to hear from.Failing to leave a message simply tells me that they understand the purpose of the call is unimportant, it also leaves me with a suspicion that this very well could potentially be a scam.
This is Synchrony Bank, formally known as GE Money, which issues various credit cards, including the Walmart credit card. I have no credit cards with them but I’ve had at least 3 dozen different numbers calling me over the last two months that were all associated with them when I called back. Thankfully, most pop up as “scam likely” so I just block them after I verify. They promised to remove my number, but never did.
They called wanting to “update some details” without identifying who they were. When they asked if I was John Doe (the person they were wanting to speak to) I said “no, it isn’t” and they hung up. If they call again, my plan is to string them along to see how long I can keep them on the phone. That should be everyone’s goal. To waste as much of their time as you can.
Doesn't your phone allow you to block them? As soon as I read comments about them, I block them.

Scam call-Hung up! No one left a message
Harassing call from a company claiming to be attempting to collect on a nonexistent unpaid debt. I verified on my credit report that no such debt exists.
I found this phone number when I searched to see if I was hacked. This number has my calls forwarded to this number and I don’t even know who they are! You are being reported!
I just called the same number after binge watching decades later. I was looking for Phil but he did not answer. Left a message, had mobsters show up about 30 minutes later to my front door. Thankfully they left, no issues. Just wise guys....

Claims to be from MnDOT wouldn't leave a voicemail when called the main line. Called the next day and claims to be a guy named Gavin wanting to update information. Phone number is from Pennsylvania CLEARLY NOT FROM MNDOT.
