I received the text message! I received the "package" which included a check for $2450.52. After researching, I am not participating!!
Don't fall for this scam!! Got a text from Whole Foods asking me to be a secret shopper and then sent a "package" in the mail which was nothing but a single piece of paper which was a photo copy of instructions and a check for $2450.52. They tell you to deposit the check and then go to a store and buy $2000 in Ebay gift cards. Once you deposit the check they have your bank account #. The check turns out to be phony and you lose $2000.

This number is being used for phishing. The text states you are being given a job as mystery shopper for Whole Foods. They then try to trick you into purchasing gift cards and money orders using your own money, which has been reimbursed with fake bank checks. By the time your bank finds out the check is fake you have already lost your money. Don't fall for it. The scammer has poor grammar and will slip up from time to time.

I called the Chase number on the back of my card and they said they had NOT called me, said it was scammers. I had two calls on my machine asking me to call them back.
