Spam caller of the day.Don't feed the trolls, hitting a number to taken off the list, results in your number going to hyper-rotation, and more of these robo calls from rando phishers.If your phone service doesn't have a call block feature, insist on one.

they called landline some months ago claiming to be IRS. I reported them. Now they call my cell. No message-I know they are a scam.When I confronted them on landline they hung up

Mother in law answered the phone. Caller ID said New York, NY. She hung up after answering.

Received the call 9:38am EST and it shows from New York. No one spoke. I have blocked them from my phone.

You are absolutely right; however, similar to the "Nigerian" scammers, any response is the indicator that the respondent is unaware of these long-running frauds. This is esp. true for both young adults and the elderly.

Recd call no mesaage

I got a call from these people just now 1:20 pm. They left NO MESSAGE. I did not answer.

I let it go to answer machine . They do not leave a message.

Because so many good folks telephones are being invaded with unwanted scam/spoof callers, several good folks and the Vonage VoIP Phone service, have setup a free call blocking service. On the Internet, Google “free call blocking service” and see what is available, you will be glad you did. You can also get your own “Call Blocking Phone” and call-block all those unwanted callers. We laugh each time such calls ring our phone and are blocked and then exclaim, “Thank You.”
