Number showed as 403-351-0200; call display said Gov Alberta. Scam - that's not how gov phone numbers display.
Caller ID reads Gov Alberta . The caller then says he's calling from "a research firm in Edmonton" at which point I cut him off and say "so you are not calling from the Government of Alberta". He says "No ..." and I say "Your caller ID says GovAlberta so you are scammers trying to make people think you are calling from the Government of Alberta" He tries to start his spiel again and I just said "Scammer!" and hung-up. These people obviously don't mind impersonating anyone they want ....
P.S. ... they called after 9 pm. Alberta Time and being in Province they must know the time ...
They asked for my boss by his name??? They said they are doing a survey regarding advanced education
I just called them the lady said she was doing a survey on Alberta education and aboriginal research for are area we live in ....did not seem legit

I didn't recognize the number so I obviously was checking to see who it was
The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
