A hang up or no response means autobot is calling in advance of person to make sure it's a working number. Answering=letting them know you could be potential target. DON'T answer.

I had one of those calls, and they were using a local "spoof" number. The guy on the line asked me, "can you hear me okay," trying to get me to say "yes." I had heard about these type of calls on the local tv news, so I just hung up on him.
