Received numerous calls over the past few days and, not that it seems to matter to these types, am on the Do Not Call registry. Did not answer and nary a message left. Return called on June 17 - received the message that to discontinue receipt of calls to press 1 and contrary to my better judgment pressed 1 in the hopes it might mean something. Alas, received 2 more calls today the 20th. Just went in and added it to my numbers block service on Verizon since I don't feel like chasing these a$$hats down.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone.I do not give out this number to anyone but friends/family.How did they get this number?

Well, I see by all the posts here and by the dates that I have LOTS of company. I have never had anything to do with ComCast and have no idea what triggered this nonsense. But I am getting 2-3 calls per day from this number. I have answered a couple of times to get a couple of seconds of dead air. I know that means there is an auto-dialer at work so I hang up before a voice/recording comes on.My number is on the DNC lists, obviously that has no real teeth. My carrier is Verizon and my approach will be to get to the online account management page and block that number. End of story - I HOPE!! Good luck folks!BJ

Just blocked the number as stated in my post above. Easy to do on the web. I'll see how effective the block is about noon tomorrow when I usually get the first call!! LOL :-)

told them i have NO HOME.calls came in weeks later - when you call back it jusy says to be taken OFF our list press 1. When i did this and repeatedly received calls STILL I called again and waited for something else to even find out who they are - but after the "press 1" they say "goodbye" So just now I made sure I answered - they said this is soandso from home security ( now i remember telling them i have no home) so i said yes but you called earlier and i said take me off your list - he said im sorry and hung up as i was still saying "but is this about????..."

...been calling my cell phone several times a day. Only my family has this number. I'm on do not call list. Never enter contests or answer surveys...they're all phishing operations. I just filed a complaint with do not call registry. They can get numbers and personal info from anywhere; it's a big business. For example large Take-out food operations ie. Dominoes Pizza sell phone numbers.

Missed a call from this number no message

The FTC requires you to know the listed name that they have on record to match the phone number. If it doesn't match, you can't file the complaint. What name did you use?

...maybe we should answer and when prompted for our telephone number give them the telephone number of another telemarketer.
