Michelle Smith called asking for the President by name (Google search). As I asked questions, she continued to mute on her end. She replied back very quickly to every question with things like, "I can hold", "it's a personal matter", "when is a better time to call?" When she realized she wasn't getting through, she hung up saying she would email him. She'll have better luck calling us again. We aren't this selective about lettng people through just because.
Pretty much the same as all these comments. She calls every single day, pretends to know the owner but calls him by a name he does not use. Then pretends she has his cell # but "left it at the office & needs to ask him a quick question". When I said I cannot give out his cell # she says in a rude tone "who is this again I am speaking to"? Like, i will be scared she will tell my boss that I didn't give her his #. When I asked what company she is with she replies "I'm calling from Jacksonville" even though the ID says Orlando.
Michelle Smith - acts like she's a friend of the owner but refuses to give the nature of her call, just "regarding the business" I informed her that the owner delegates projects and I would like to direct her call to the proper person. Still nothing. Just "I'll call back at a better time." Sorry Michelle - there won't be a better time. Best to get our number out of your call list so you don't waste your time.
Guy named Chris asking for the owner by name as if he's an old pal. When I tell him he's unavailable, his line is "Oh no, you mean they left you to do all the work!?" He has used this same line two days in a row. He will not leave a message and I did not give him my name when he asked. Got the same "security company" answer when I ask him what company he's with. Total scam.
Got a call from a Vickie Robinson, asking for the owner of the company by name, and acting like I should already know who she is. "Hey Stacy! It's Vickie!" She wanted the owner's cell phone because she just wanted to "ask him a quick question" but would not tell me what company she was with or what her call was regarding. She finally gave up and hung up.
Lady said she was Michelle Smith, and asked for the owner. When I said they weren’t in she asked for the cell phone number to forward them something. I even put her on hold to google the number she was calling from. Went back to her and when I said I wouldn’t give the cell number she got pissy and I asked who she was calling for and she said the owner; couldn’t give me a name. Then I asked who she worked for and she said she was with the security company, she dealt with the cameras. But couldn’t give me the security company name. She got angry and said she would just call back.
Just got a call from this number. She asked for "Steffan" and his name is Stephen, pronounced with a V. He is director of sales and I sent her straight to his voicemail. She immediately called back and said "I got his voicemail." I said yeah, I sent you to his extension. She asked when he would be back (he's here). I said I don't know. She said well is he gone for the day, I said I don't know. He does not report to me. She said well, I will call back, what's better for him, morning or afternoons? I said I don't know. At that point, she asked me my name. I told her. We have sales people calling here all the time, I can sniff them out now and knew what she wanted. She said, well is STEFFAN the owner. I said no. She said are you corporate? I said I don't understand your question. She said well, who is the owner? I told her I am in the head office of a corporation with multiple business and each have a president and CEO. Which one was she asking about. She had no clue. She said is there someone who can transfer me to the owner. I said I can transfer you to a CEO, but I have to know what this call is regarding. She said, "Due to the nature of this call, I cannot discuss that with you." I tried not to laugh. She kept asking for the "Owner". I said, do we currently have business with you? She said yes. I said, you have business with us, but you don't know who the CEO is and you have no idea which company you're even asking for? She said uh, I misunderstood, I don't have business with you. I said, I know. She asked me for the owner again. I said hold on while I transfer you and hung up. WORST SALES PERSON EVER.
This Mary Ann lady has called our office at least 4 times today. She is nasty and laughs trying to act nice. She couldn't get my boss' name right, and asked if i was his wife. We had the number blocked, but if she calls again, im going to tell her to get a hobby! SOME ppl have an actual job to do...
