Just called - very nice woman but it was a "live" scam... I mean "promotion"She claimed to have my hilton honors number and could verify they were legit by sending an email or I could go on their website Said no thanks - very pleasant about it - she must be new ;)
Do not call list means nothing. You most likely have Hilton rewards points and you knowingly gave your phone, email, etc. Don't sign up for their free service if you don't know how to screen a phone call.
We stayed at a Hilton over the Christmas holiday this year... Less than a month later this number started calling my cell phone nightly. I looked it up and sure enough it's a Hilton Rewards Vacation Solicitation... They must have taken my check-in information because they had my first & last name.
The telephone number for the HGVC is 407-722-3100. Be interesting to know what the connection of the number that calls is to this very similar number.
Just got a call too. Hilton crap. Told them I never stayed at the Hilton. Hang up the phone. Don't give them anything.
Called my home on 9 January 2015 at 6:30 PM PST. Caller ID said "HGVC". I did not answer. They did not leave a message. My phone is on the Do Not Call list, and I will report the call on the DoNotCall.gov website.
