I received a call on my mobile phone from this number and they said they were from F & M bank and wanted information on my debit card. This is a scam!!!!
Same as the last post. Got the call at 3:30am, picked up in deep sleep, heard some kind of a message, immediately hung up.Not too long ago, I received a chain mail about beware of area code 809, 284, 876. They run some kind of a scam.
SAME SCENARIO AS ABOVE, DIFFERENT BANK NAMES, THEY TELL YOU YOUR ACCOUNT MAY BE A VICTIM OF FRAUD AND TO VERIFY IF YOUR CARD HAS BEEN VICTIMIZED TO ENTER YOUR CARD NUMBER AND OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION.
Similar scenario. I received a call on 3/2/10. An automated message informed me that my "Visa Debit card" had been temporarily de-activated and could only be re-activated if I entered my 16-digit card number plus my full name. Scam.
Got a call from this number claiming to be from a bank - telling me my Visa had been cancelled. I was advised by this recorded greeting that I could speak to someone in the security department, but they would require certain information from me -- then it wanted me to enter my credit card number! If they were calling about a problem with my card they would have my number! SCAM!
My wife received a call from this number that her debit card was deactivated...same as other post. My son and daughter also received the same call from this number. I received the same call from (775) 589-6504. I call the number back and it was the recording "no longer in service".
Same as above. Got the call at 1am that my card had been deactivated and that I could talk to someone in the fraud department and reactive my account if I entered the 16 numbers. Tried everything to reach an operator. After several minutes of continuously hitting 0# the recording hung up.
Got a call from this number four days ago. I live in Toronto. Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Sounds like a scam. Beware!
